Program Overview

This intensive 2-day workshop introduces participants to the principles and practical applications of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) with a focus on the Malaysian digital landscape. Attendees will learn to systematically collect publicly available information and perform structured analysis using modern tools for link and network mapping.

Learning Objective

  • Understand the fundamentals and ethics of OSINT.

  • Explore data collection strategies tailored to Malaysian digital assets.

  • Learn techniques to gather, structure, and enrich data from multiple sources.

  • Leverage JupyterLab, LLMs, and Python to build automated OSINT workflows—from data extraction and interpretation to dynamic link and network analysis.

Knowledge Prerequisites

  • Basic familiarity with computers and web tools

  • Some Python knowledge is helpful (but not mandatory; templates provided)

Hardware Requirements

Laptop with an internet connection
